Her car was fixed last week. How long does it take for her insurance company to bill me? Should I contact them, or just wait for the bill in the mail or a phone call from them.

Thanks

Was your insurance in cancellation status or flat out terminated? If it was in cancellation status, and you paid your installment...the insurance company has the option of allowing the claim or not.

If this doesn't apply to you at all......

Wait for the insurance company to send you the bill. They will send you all the supporting documents for the charges. You are entitled to the final estimate of repairs, receipts for rental, and photos of the damage. Some of it you may be able to negotiate...if there are rental charges, you'll want to review the final estimate & divide the total labor hours by 4 to tell you how many days the person should have been in a rental. For instance, if the total labor hours is 20, but the person was in a rental for 30 days--this is excessive as the repairs should have been done in 5 days. You also do not owe for gas or additional mileage charges, nor do you owe for rental car insurance. You only owe straight rental charges + the tax on it.
Anyway, when you get the information you then contact them to make payment arrangements.

Just wait for the Insurance company to bill you. However, this shouldn't be since you paid all the expenxes out of your pocket.

Do they know that you are willing to pay? You may want to contact them and make arrangements for payment. What you don't want is for them to turn the file over to a collection agency if you can avoid that.

And - you should get insurance as soon as you can.
