Patois,
the issue with your answer, besides being long and rambling is it's factually incorrect. I think you hoped you would sound smart and people would take you at your word. Lets just pick apart two things you said for I don't have all day to write down ansers to you.
A. Bush does speak for the people. He was elected by the people... twice. therefore he represents the people.
B. Of course troops in Iraq gurd the oil pipelines. When oil jumped to over $80..00 a barrell last summer there was almost a revolt in this country. The fact is, this country and all others depend on the free flow of oil. If this is stopped even for a small amount of time, the world economy would crash. Quickly. We didnt go into Iraq because of oil, but we may be staying there because if it. I for one am fine with that.

Think about that as you walk everywhere, and sit in you cold unheated house.

You cannot install democracy into a region of the world that has been at war since time began. Look at what's happening now... the Sunni's and Shiites are killing each other off, that means they're oblivious to the fact that America is still there. So it doesn't seem to make a difference if we're there trying to bring peace or not; it won't happen. Bring the troops home now. I'm far from being a Democrat, but this crap in the ME is ridiculous.

Can you please tell me when it's good to remove the troops? Because there were a lot of people who didn't want the troops to come home from Vietnam when they did. When do you think they should come home? When there is no more violence? Hm. Try a hundred years. The religious differences that exist there will never allow for a peaceful democracy. If we wanted peace, we should have installed a dictator.

It will save a hell a lot of Lives! US lives. I think that they have to stay to some point because you make a mess, you clean it up. But there just has to be another way to do it. Without putting more troops in there. I'd like to point out to those who hate anti war people. may I just say the reason ABOVE is the reason why so many people are anti war. they are not anti war because they hate soldiers, its because they value their lives that they do not want to see them killed. I always love how those for the war don't
get it, and think it's a direct attack at the military. On the contrary we want them out because we care for their safety and its not worth dying for! There is no way theses nations even have the ability to strike back, and if they did then fight from your own land and protect yourselves. World War 2 was the only JUST war, and that was truly something to die for.

The war itself isn't good for the US. What we are fighting for is the innocent people in the Middle East! Granted, taking out the troops would be bad if good power came back to their governments. It's not the "Iraq War" it's the "War Against Terror". Bascially a pre-World War. Before WW2 There was the War in Europe. It's kinda like that.... kinda.

Briefly: It would show to the world that we have some intelligence. In terms of military, it would make us all the more stronger. With troops in Iraq, we could not possibly mount an assault anywhere else. If we were to pull them out, we would have the strength if we had to attack somewhere else.

In terms of iraq itself: with US forces,t he iraqi government has no reason to try and take a moderate line and try and work things out. if we prop them up, they're in power. If we leave, they have to figure out how to keep power, which will lead to a strong effort on their part. Notice that they did not started controlling Sadir and his militias until he US started indicating it was not very interested in staying.

For starters, there would be more Americans coming home alive and well. More slodiers could be with their families. National Guard units would be available in case of an emergency. Our military equipment would not be wearing out in the desert. Billions of dollars of debt would not be passed on to the next generation. And that's just a start.

And if we did just suddenly pull out and come home....then what? You think they will be good little terrorists and go to camel farming? No, they will train, plan, and again attack the west. Wake up people, its us or them!
