Can in most states...........but the catch is.........you have to be available and willing to work full time in order to get unemployment. There are so many loop holes to this that it's a joke. Bottom line.....yes you can be enrolled in school. Most people find about 10 jobs that they aren't qualified for or know will not hire them....maybe friends of theirs. I think you have to have 2 contacts a week with employers to get paid. After 2 weeks you can go back to the same employers and ask again.....see how it works? You have to be seeking jobs in the field that you initially told the unemployment office you would like to work in. Good luck

Mike above is correct.....you have to be willing to leave school in order to work if offered a job........that's why you apply by phone, person, or mail those jobs you know will not hire you. I'm sure you can think of ways to not get hired.......if asked to come in for an interview. Not saying I would do this because it is "cheating the system"........just saying.........that's how it's been done and how people have been able to go to school and get benefits at the same time.........I'd also elect to get taxes taken out of your weekly check so you don't have to pay at the end of the year. ............Good Luck....and no "CHEATING"

The answer is maybe - read http://www.edd.ca.gov/uibdg/uaa40.htm#School%20Attendance and see how this applies to your current situation. Would you go back to full-time work - for example - if offered a job and leave school?

Good Luck!!!
