By meditation and prayer you can tide over shyness.
Your prayer is from your heart. Further You must have to understood the fact that God is present in our heart. This can be realised in meditation. Further we are the creation of our own destiny. As per Hindu sacred religion, we carry all good and bad deeds life after life. There is no end unless we pray for unification of self with the divineliness.
Hence there is always a possible way to complete mergence with God in this life by a simple and wonderful meditation

A lot of people get shortness of breath with anxiety. You have probably heard it a million times but exercise is the very best thing for stress. Try a walk use a slow pace if you need to until you are used to it. Breathing exercises are excellent for stress and anxiety. Close your eyes and meditate imagine you are at a lake floating on a raft, the sky is blue, the sun warm, the only sounds you hear are the birds flying above. (that's my personal favorite)

If your shortness of breath was diagnosed as anxiety, then that would be panic attacks. The doctor should have prescribed clonazepam.
If you don't want to go with meds:
-Make sure some of that exercise is outdoors in the fresh air
-Stop using caffeine
-Stop using sugar
-Drink Chamomile Tea, Sleepy Time Tea, or Sleepytime Extra Tea with Valerian
-Try Valerian Root Supplements (use the tea first, as the supplements are stronger)
-Use lavender incense, candles, air fresheners, etc.
-Learn to meditate
-Check out self-help books from the library
-Eat healthily, and get enough sleep
-Take B-Complex Stress Formula Vitamins
If you decide to beat this without prescription meds, still keep your doctor in the loop.

You need to train yourself to get a hold of your anxiety before it gets a hold of you. When you start to feel anxious, start by controlling your breathing, nice slow breaths: in through the nose and out through the mouth (pursed lip breathing out). Try to identify what it is that made you anxious: fear, racing thoughts, etc... and ask yourself- ok what's the worse thing that could happen right now and I bet that what you come up with in reality is not nearly as devastating as what your racing out of control self would come up with. Of course medicaton is also an option, talk to your Dr. and remember you are not alone! I know how frightening an anxiety attack can be, I'm a member of that club, but I'm still here and boy have there been times when I was sure that I wasn't going to make it, but you do, I did, and so will you. Hang in there!

I feel for you. I have been there in a big way! ( I signed myself into a mental institution) for 5 days that helped greatly! But, also the things that help are...... PRAYER! anxiety medications, square breathing, imagery, keep ur mind focused on other things than being "short of breath". I know what that is like, i owe thousandsss of dollars in hospital bills from going to the ER (thinking i was having a heart attack or dying), and they also told me it was anxiety. You must learn to get your mind off of it and to know that you are going to be ok. God bless you and i have said a prayer that you will over come this.
