The word "Satan" is hebrew for enemy of God. You are correct your thought of there being no little horned being. The entity that embodies Saten is anything that is against what is godly. To simplify that Statement. Anything that denies the all powerfulness of God is of Satan.

On the contrary, it is not possible to prove something does not exist.

You have been disqualified for faulty reasoning and false statements.

I agree with you that Satan is a silly concept outside of metaphor, but you have made a false statement, so you lose.

well for one thing, i dont think it has been "proven" anywhere, at anytime, and for another, we believe satan was a fallen angel, not a horned beast...that is just what the media made him look like...

You give me one ACTUAL, VALID statement that can disprove the existence of satan or hell or god, and i may rethink my position. Otherwise, God bless...

It is clear that Christ's experiences with Satan were not metaphorical. So, belief in Satan is just another way for man to realize his only hope is in Christ.
