This is the reason listed "Reasons given for rejection of your e-filed FEDERAL return: Qualifying Person Name Control - 1 - 2 and Qualifying Person SSN - 1 - 2 of Form 2441 do not match data from the IRS Master File."

What do I need to do to correct this problem? Thanks!

Check with the person who supplies your child care. Either the social security number isn't correct, or the spelling of the name isn't. This could be something as simple as a name misspelled or a prior name still being on file with the social security office but you have a later name for the person - for example they got married and didn't change their name with social security. Or it could be the social security number that you entered isn't correct, either because they gave it to you wrong or you entered it wrong.

It means your name and Social Security Number do not match with what the IRS has on file, Get out your Social Security card and check the name and number on it.

Contact the Social Security Administration office. They keep the records of names, socials, and birthdays on file that the IRS compares the returns against. They got my wife's birthday wrong and I couldn't e-file until they fixed it.

It sounds like one of the dependents on your return doesn't have their name and SSN matching what the IRS has in their records.

This is a problem you can only fix with the social security office, the IRS, a friend of mine got the same problem last year she called the IRS and they told her she had to call the social security office to correct the information then resubmit her e-filing

Just verify your dependents ssn and last name and resend your return. It may be that your dependent has two last names.
