It is turning brown underneath and at the roots. I lighten it, but the brown starts to peek through again underneath and on top. What do you think I should do?

The same thing happened to me. I would just have blond highlights added to the roots. If you want you can have highlights woven in all over but blond hair looks more natural when you see the natural darkness underneath. I've tried dying brown which is fun and makes your eyes stand out but the color fades quickly and unevenly.

It is hard to say what you should do considering I do not know what you look like with blonde or brown hair. However, being able to see roots is not attractive to me. I believe brown hair looks better and perhaps you should give brown a try since you apparently have been blonde for some time. If all else fails, you can go back to blonde if you do not like brown.

Try and brunette rinse (washes out in 6 - 8 rinses) first, that way if you decide you like the blonde look better, it's not a drama to go back. If you're not happy about the darker roots, you can get any number of products from the supermarket, or if you want the job done professionally, go to the hair dresser - although that can be expensive.
Good luck and all the best.

I'm always up for trying new things! I'm naturally blond and once I asked a hairdresser (a professional one) how dark I could die my hair. She told me not much darker than a light brown. I will never believe a hairdresser again because I dyed my hair black and it looked so good......even better than my natural colour!

I say dye your hair brown....if you don't like it you can always change it back!

Stay blonde and add some "low lights" which is a few light brown strands to blend the hair together.

I'm blonde...and I've dyed it brown-ish red before, and I liked it for awhile. I have been thinking about going brown again. Just make sure it is what you want though because once you dye it, it is not easy to go back to your natural color.

From what I read, I don't think you've ever dyed your hair brown. You might like it, so why not give a shot? Hair will eventually grow and you can cut it or simply re-dye it if you don't like it.

Not only brown you should try, you should try some different colour like red, green, blue, black...I used to try to have dark blue or only tips of my hair are green or light brown(my original is black). Who knows, you might love it! You only live once, try some fun!

I like girls with dirty blonde hair, depending on the shade of blonde and brown. Why not let it grow out and see what it looks like?

Brown is a neutral color, that in my opinion looks good on everybody. To help you out, go to a wig store and try on some brown hair on you and see if it looks good. There, you could know if it looks or not.
