I'm an atheist...was engaged to a Christian at one point...but it didn't cause a problem. I would be willing to date someone from any faith as long as they didn't take it too seriously and incorporate their faith into every aspect of their life or tr to convert me.
(It didn't work out because she was cheating on me)

Christianity gave me a meaning and a purpose. even as i realized how unnecessary and futile my existence become, when I went searching for some thing major sufficient for me to awaken day after today, i found in the religion of my mothers and fathers the relationship between a created element and its author. All of my searches into the religion have yielded end result i did not anticipate, and that i'm a a lengthy way a lengthy way more beneficial efficient individual because of Christ. Morality on my own, with out some exterior resource, variations and shifts because the sands and the waves, yet grounded in an immutable resource which incorporates the Bible, i encounter safe practices and luxurious from understanding precisely the position I stand. And who can pass ahead with out understanding the position they're actually?

It's probably better to date someone of the same religion for the sole reason that there are more similarities between the two people. If people are too different, it's kind of hard to make it work. Of course some people are just good at learning from their significant other about their life, culture, and customs but oftentimes that's not the case.
That's not to say that people of different religions can't have successful relationships, I know several couples that are interreligious couples and they fared just fine.

I'd prefer to date someone who's a Pagan of some sort. I would date an Atheist or someone of another religion as long as they weren't a monotheist. (Christian, Muslim, etc..) It's not that I hate them or anything, it's just I don't really see eye to eye and Christians (mainly) have always been trying to force their religion on me.
Religion interfered with past relationships? Well, if you consider getting divorced & called an infidel to be interference, sure. Lol.

this is a great question...I am not with my child's father due to our religious differences. He is Jehovah's witness and I am Baptist. He is always criticizing my beliefs about God which I dislike. If one isn't equally yolked, it's not going to work. The relationship would'nt have been good due to the simple fact that we don't believe in the same thing....this is something I feel strongly about.......MY RELIGION.

Eh, in all honesty, it's narrowed it. It's harder to date Atheists [I just leave out what I do in practice, most are cool enough to not care about the big picture,] and I can't date a True Christian [Theistic Satanism does that].
I'd be willing to date any one of another faith, as long as they are cool with the fact I believe differently.

I wouldn't date someone other than a Christian, in the Bible, it says stick to your own tribe, meaning in religion, and race. Therfore, your not supposed to date someone from a different religion that doesn't believe in God. And your not supposed to have multi-racial relationships.

I would date someone any religion as long as they would accept me.
When I was in high school, a Christian guy dumped me after he found out I was Buddhist. It was sad because its not like I can control what I do or dont believe in, its not like my weight or something

I do not have anything to do with someone who doesn't believe in god in some way .I don't care what they believe.as long as they know theirs a God.and recognize that fact.we all have different paths, even with in the same church sometimes people have different ways of looking at God and his spirit and influence in their life's. I do not think I should have a say in regards to another faith, but I do not like being around people who denie gods spirit completly. which means they think of them self as just being a higher type of primate.if I wanted to hang around primates who don't believe our know that's theirs a God.I would buy myself a chimp or and orangutan.

If you are a Christian, it is best to try to not be unequally yoked with a non-believer. I said, "try", but follow your heart. If your significant other is willing then go for it. You may be surprised how your patient and silent witness may lead them to your way of thinking (and believing).
