Japan has the ability to create a nuclear weapon within a 6 month time frame. They have a very, very advanced civilian nuclear-energy program that can quite easily start converting plutonium into weapons grade. Below is a link in regards to a Japanese nuclear weapons program and some information about the non-proliferation treaty they have in place.
Russia doesn't know when to keep their mouth shut. President Putin is quickly pushing Russia back into the dictatorship that was ruled by fear that it once was. Even though they do still have some nuclear weapons in stock, they would have such a problem with former Russian states that would be supported by CIA and US Special Ops from the US, Russia would more than have its hands full.
China, while a world power, has been working more and more closely with the United States as time goes on. Their economy is greatly dependant on trade agreements with the US. Neither Russia nor China are proving a real threat to the United States. As long as countries such as North Korea and Somalia provide a place for unilateral support from the UN and NATO, all will be well for the world on a global scale.

Raising tensions in the region would not be a smart thing to do. Besides, if the situation ever came to where Japan had to use nukes the world would end within an hour anyway.

If i'm not mistaken China and Russia are US allies not threats.
As for you WW3 is coming, what do you think the war on terror is? The whole world is either against terrorism or is supportive of terrorism isn't it? (Being against terrorism doesn't necessarily mean being on the side of America)

American is the most forgetful people, they only look at the present scenario which benefit them most, and forget the past history and lesson after a lapse of time , a period of benevolences from the old enemy, and now are so eagernous to help them, to help them to build nuclear arm.
The Japanese before the war were so unscrupulous, aggressive, demanding, looked every loophole to bully the weaks (Korea & China), employed sneaky diplomacies against the strong powerfull countries, Now after decades of peace, U.S. regards them as Allied, and friend, Can you observe how the Japanese bussiness men doing in U.S.? how aggressive, how demanding, how self conscious about their own country. If these Japs were military men, it is the same vicious outcome happened as before again.
Now American has forgotten : forgot the Alamo, forgot the Pearl Harbour, forgot the atomic bombing.now they want to help Jap to build the nuclear arm to contain China, why don't they contain Pakistan and India who has ability to build the bomb ?
American has fogotten the war with Jap, they even made movie about Japs in 2nd world war, glorify their(Jap) sacrifice, even ridicuted U.S. death in war as futile due to government cover-up or mistakes. very unforgetful.
The U.S. government are remorseful because they are the one who fisrt use atomic bomb to kill the Japs and have forgotten the humuliation defeats , inhuman POW treatment under Japs hands during the war.
The U.S. movie directors are grateful from generous Japs sponsorship and contribution that they started glorify Jap struggle in the war but forgotten thousands of unnecessary U.S. deaths in the Pacific war, they have forgotten the young soldiers immense hatred towards Japs during the war that lingers on till their old age even to nowadays. It is a damned insult to the deaths and those still livings from the war with the Japs, but their offsprings are also forgotten their fathers or grandfathers hatred.
Bravo to U.S. who wanted to help Japs build the arms .

No. They could build one by themselves relatively easy. It is believed because of 1st hand witness of the devastation that nuclear weapons cause they have chosen to not have WMD. They do have plutonium for power plants so they could make them. They did sign the UN Treaty that they would only do so for immediate threats.

Japan would have to rewrite their constitution in order to do that, and that would utterly freak out the Chinese and probably both Koreas. Secondly, I don't really think Japan needs our help to develop nukes. They are a very resourceful people.
Here we go again . . . we barely got out of the last cold war without nuclear armageddon.

The IAEA has had flow-everywhere, see-something inspections in Iran for years, and has yet to locate a shred of info that the country is pursuing nuclear weaponry. Iran itself has denied all of it alongside, of direction. our ultimate intelligence estimates are that whether Iran began an all-out pursuit of nukes right this moment, it would take ten years for them to make one. Ten years is a protracted time. via then, demon-of-the-day Ahmadinejad will truthfully be out of skill, and there's a sturdy threat the finished mullah regime would be out too. The mullahs are no longer in many cases happening with Iranians. the right attitude is to incorporate and wait, basically like we did with the Soviet Union. in case you think of we are in a position to flow to war with Iran with impunity, you bought yet another difficulty coming. Iran is totally able to shutting down each and all of the oil flowing interior the direction of the straits of Hormuz, for one difficulty, and that may no longer even putting forward what it is able to doing in Iraq. i come across it frightening that an considerable share of our inhabitants is prepared to nuke yet another united states of america that may no longer at war with us and does not p.c. to be at war with us, basically via spin interior the administration and neocon press. we are being lied into yet another war, employing the *suitable* comparable lies that have been used for the Iraq war - and human beings are buying it, to the quantity that they are prepared to nuke a rustic that hasn't released a war of aggression in centuries, and does not have any plans to launch one now. we are on our thank you to getting the international war 3 that a lot of folk p.c.... via fact we are so rationale on making it ensue.
