This morning I woke up with a dull pain in my right lower stomach. It has lasted all day and the pain increases when I move or press on my stomach. It is not severe or even that painful, but if it is appendicitis, I don't want to wait until it is too late. I have not run a fever, but I have not been hungry all day. What could it be and when should I go to the doctor to have it checked out?

APPEDENDICITIS!!!!!!!

In the right lower quadrant of your abdomen is an area called McBurney's Point (sp?). Anyway, it's a CLASSIC sign that when pressed and pain is present, then you have a high chance of appendicitis. More specifically is that there is rebound pain (it hurts to release the pressure on the abdomen).

The biggest fear for anyone when an appendicitis is the chance that the appendix will burst. If it does burst, then infectious material can spread throughout the innards of your abdomen and caused terrible complications or peritonitis. This can hospitalize you! But if you go to the ER RIGHT NOW and it is diagnosed as appendicitis, I guarantee you that they'll take you in immediately to take out the completely useless structure and have you discharge in less than two days... in many cases, the same day. It's a simple procedure to remove the appendix. Go to the ER!

Go to the closest Emergency Room as soon as you can. What you have described is classic signs of appendicitis. I would urge that you go to an ER and have it checked.

anytime a woman has enexplained abdominal pain she should be examined by a physician and probably will involve a pelvic exam. if you are sexually active and any possibility of pregnancy an ectopic pregnancy is a major concern. just to be on the safe side, get an exam so you can ease your mind.

This could be a bladder infection even if you have no other symptoms this happened to me. You need to get it checked out, Chances are it is not your appendix you most likely would be nauseous and throwing up. Go to the doctor tomorrow.
