A men lives on the 23rd floor of a building and can ride the elevator all the way down to the bottom floor in the morning when he goes to work. When he comes back from work he can only ride the elevator to the 12th floor and has to get off and take the steeps the rest or the way up, unless there is another adult who gets on with him, then he can go all the way to the 23rd floor. Why is this? What is so different about this man?

He lost his key to the access the top floor buttons. The other man in the elevator knows the first man lives upstairs in a penthouse so he opens the button box.
The key will be ready in 4 days as it is a special laser cut key with an encrypted RF transponder. Then he won't have the problem anymore.
