Ok I am a 17 year old male that didn't go to my Junior prom because my prom date never returned my calls. My prom date was in college in the same town I am from. I graduated mid-term and dont have a prom date. I might be going with a co-workers daughter. The co-workers daughter use to be good friends. I really like her. I gave her mom my cell phone number and am hoping to get a call from her so I dont miss out on my senior prom. Even if she doesn't call should I go alone. I dont want to be the loser guy that doesn't have a prom date.

Sorry, the man is the pursuer. It sucks. You can't give "her mom" your cell number and expect her to call you back. It doesn't work that way. Call ahead and ask if you can meet at her home or for coffee and ask her to the prom. You have to ask in person.

But, if you are just asking her to the prom for a date only, that is insincere. She'll know it.

Try getting together with a couple of friends and see if they are going to the prom. Many times, a group of friends go (they all hang out together but aren't dating each other) and have a good time.

The days of having to have an opposite gender date are gone! And that is good! Don't wait for her to call you, call her and find out, then you can make your plans. I am positive that you are not the only one without a date or someone to go with. There is a girl who would love to have a date for prom, keep asking! Otherwise make plans with some other guys and have a great night!

Go to the prom either way, I went to my junior prom with a date, had a lot of fun, then went to my senior prom alone (another of my guy friends went alone also) and it was probably the funnest thing ever, you can still dance with other people's dates and stuff and all of that.. it is very fun and a good opourtunity, dont miss out on it

Personally, I don't think going or not going to prom is a big deal. If you can find other people going as a group and not with dates, you'll probably have more fun than going by yourself. If you don't go, I can honestly say it will have zero effect on the rest of your life. You'll have a lot more fun once you turn 21 going to clubs and dancing with hot chicks than getting sweaty in a rented tux at your high school gym at prom.

You won't be the loser guy if you go without a date. The best kind of date is someone to take pictures with and sets you free when they're done. I didn't go to my junior prom either. I regret it. This is both our last chance. Senior year seems to be passing by so fast. We're growing up. Yeah!!!! Go with a bunch of your friends. That's what I'm doing. My boyfriend doesn't live where I live, and we promised each other we wouldn't go with anyone of the opposite sex. I'll probably take my pictures with one of my cousins, and then dance with them. Then have a night of fun with my girlfriends!!!So good luck babe!

If you have other friends who are going, you should go with them. Dont miss your prom. But be persistent with getting a date. That will make it much more enjoyable. Prom does not have to be this big serious thing. After highschool, it will not matter to anyone if you went alone or not, so don't worry about that at all. (I know it is tough not to now though...) Good luck!

Of course you should go!! Even if you don't end up going with this girl you should go with your friends. You will regret not going in the future. I didn't necessarily want to go to my Senior Prom, but I'm glad that I did because you'll never be able to experiance that once it's over. You'll have a great time!

i bet you anything you are not going to be the only single person at prom. i never went to my senior prom, but i went to my junior prom. (which was the same thing i just wasn't a senior, woop de doo). if she doesn't call you then you should call her. see if you can persuade her to go. and if not, go by yourself. single people can have fun too, you know.
