Razor rash can last for several days. I know this sounds weird, but try using Coochy shaving lotion. You can find it at www.justforyouparties.com or probably any other "adult novelty" store.
My husband has very sensitive skin and he uses this to shave his face and it works great. I also use it for my legs, underarms and bikini area and it really helps minimize razor bumps.
If you are skiddish about getting the Coochy, you can try the Olay Ribbon Body Wash (the pink one is really good) or the Olay Shea Butter Wash... they all can be used as shaving lotions as well.
Good luck!

You get those little red bumps because your skin down there is so sensitive, whether you cut yourself or not. It's like baby skin. Also pubic hair is usually coarse, so your razor just isn't built to handle it.
I'll tell you now that I have tried BikiniZone, which claims to "instantly get rid of razor bumps and redness", and all it did for me was burn WORSE. It's a waste of money and it doesn't work! Use neosporin instead to get rid of the burning feeling. Razor bumps are a pain in the *** to get rid of and it could take up to a week for them to go away. Once they are gone, here's what you do:
The very best thing you can do is buy Aveeno Positively Smooth Lotion. Most people use it for their legs but if you put it on your pubic hair every day for a week(let it grow out) the hair will become very soft. Now the hair will shave off smoothly with no bumps or redness left behind. Trust me, this works!
Your alternative is to WAX IT

RE:
Red bumps on pubic area?
Ok. about three day's ago I shaved my pubic hair and got alot of little red bumps all around my pubic area. and they are still there. I was just wondering what I could do to get rid of these bumps. Like what is the fastest way? I have been putting lotion on, but its not really working.. does it...

If the bumps are there after three days they're probably ingrown hairs, so the best way to help them go away faster is to either use a pin and pull the hairs out so they can grow normally (and NOT shave until they're better!), or you can use a rough cloth and scrub the area to help the hairs come out. To not have that happen again make sure you use a newish, sharp razor and don't shave too often (every day is too often if your skin is sensitive!).

People are probably gonna think I'm very stupid but this is what works for me. So, I did this a few months ago because I'm not the smartest. Keep that in mind. Acne is caused by bacteria growing in and under your skin right? So I absolutely thought that if Hand Sanitizer killed bacteria, why can't it kill it on my face? Andddd that lead to me putting some small amounts of hand sanitizer in my T-zone and other practical places.I do this about 2-3 times a day and that works really great for me. No more acne.
Another thing I do is, if I'm in a melt-down situation, I grab a piece of ice and rub that all over the acne for 1-2 minutes. (Or until it's completely melted.)
I also use this Carrot exfoliating face wash with beads in it. It smells weird to me but great to others. And leaves your face really soft.
Yes.....very stupid tricks but hey....it works for me

You may be using a razor to shave down there. I recommend the Seiko Cleancut Shaver, or an electric shaver with a foil screen. Razors shave extremely close to the skin. It's a lot easier to get ingrown hairs and razor bumps with a razor.

It could also be ingrown hairs that you cut below the skin line. For those, the redness won't go away till the hairs break the surface again. It might take a long while. It did for me. The only solution is not to shave down to the skin line.

Once these bumps are gone, the best way to keep them gone is to stop shaving and start getting your pubic area waxed or use Veet products where it's hair removal, but not shaving.
