Well Justin, it could be the beginnings of Tinnitus which is a nerve damaged ear...

If the sound is continuous and does not go away, I would have a doctor look at it...

I have that problem and have had it a long time, and I have to leave a fan on or a TV or radio on to go to sleep by at night...

It could develop more loudly so I think you need to do something
soon...

Mine is like a high pitched tuning fork or those high pitched tones they use to test your hearing with...

It is annoying...

It is irritating isn't it???
I have that ailment too...
I have had it for as long as I can remember...
I usually go to bed with a fan on or I leave my TV or radio on just to provide some background sound...
I hate it too, but I haven't found anything over the years that helps...

My family doctor said I was hearing the blood rush through the veins in my head...
I have never tried to do anything about it and I am in my 50's now...
I am not sure if anything can be done or not, but would certainly advise you to check into it...

Buy a book or read up on it in your local library or read about it on the web...

its probably the drugs. but there are real inner ear problems, sometimes disease or nerve/ear damage that can cause ringing.
lay off the dope for a while, and see if you still hear it.
if you do, see a doctor.
if you dont, you may want to consider why you would use something that would make you hear things in your ear. there are many of us with hearing loss/ear disease that wish we didnt have ear noise all the time, and cannot understand why someone would want to take a chance with their lives or hearing like that
