I think it's definatly good enough. But, for me, Valentines Day is a day where you give things from the heart and truly recognize why you love one another. I'm fine with a home-made card and a night out. If a PSP is something that he would really enjoy then yes, it's a great gift b/c that means you thought it out on what he would like. But you definatly didn't have to spend that much money on him. I know you like him a lot and he's a great guy, but it's not the amount of money spent on a gift that shows your appretiation towards him, it's the amount of thought you put in it.
But I'm sure he loved the gift!! :-)

The question "Is a gift good enough, ie: expensive enough?" is a highly successful Madison Avenue advertising gimmick designed to make us feel insecure and spend lots of money.
If you can afford it (and still put money away for a rainy day), and it's not wildly inappropriately expensive for your group of friends, then it's good enough.
Personally, I think gift and $3 card-giving occasions have gotten too frequent. A few moments personal conversation is special, and so is a hand-written note. Don't know what to say? Save a few store-bought cards and paraphrase and personalize them. A handwritten note is so rare these days that the recipient will feel special, and you'll be able to bank your savings.

In my eyes Valentines Day shouldn't be about chocolate, cards and stuffed animals, it should be about the couple.
No matter what you may buy your loved one you can never buy love or a steady relationship. You shouldn't need to show your love just for one day of every year, in my eyes Valentines Day should be everyday seven days a week not just once a year.
Gifts may be kind, cute, cuddly and thoughtful but whatever happened to just spending the day with your loved one?
A true gift is letting her/him into your heart and letting them see the love you feel for him/her.

Should have gone with a DS. ;) Seriously though this is a very over the top gift for valentines day, but it was very nice of you.

i'm fairly no longer waiting for some thing. I anticipate some telephone calls from acquaintances, kinfolk and all yet no actually presents. there is no hell if i do not get flowers, sweet or some thing. i'm chuffed purely with a telephone call ?

That's plenty except for maybe a card. If you want something more personal, make him a card yourself. Sounds silly but it's fun to get out the construction paper, glue and glitter even when you're an adult.

I personally think the dollars should be kept out of V.D. but if it came from the heart it is more than enough. I have always enjoyed a romantic date and maybe something she made for me.

Good enough? You spent something in the ballpark of $190 for V-Day and he's not even your boyfriend? Girl, you've done WAY more than enough.
