Bi polar disorder is when people have periods of mania and periods of depression. Symptoms of being in a manic state are when you feel hyper, can't sleep, talk fast, feel euphoric, feel like you are superman basically. Depression would make you feel slowed down, you might not eat, you won't be interested in anything, you will feel hopeless, anxious, sad. Bi polar disorder can be dangerous because you could become suicidal in the depressed stage or engage in risky behavior in the manic stage. You should look up Bi Polar disorder online for a better explanation( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bi-polar_disorder ). There is a common misconception of what bi polar disorder actually is. Chances are though, if you feel like the way you are thinking or feeling is not right or different from everyone else, you would benefit from seeing a Psychologist or even your family Doctor. If you don't feel comfortable sharing your thoughts with your family yet you might want to go to your family Doctor because they are trained to be able to diagnose these disorders (if you even have a disorder, think positive!). You should defiantly talk to someone though. And don't worry because alot of people probably feel the same way you do, and chances are when you talk to them about it then they can reassure you that you aren't going crazy, and you will be fine =).

hunni don't you worry. You don't have bi polar. bi polar is an imbalance of vitamins that can make you weird. It's not a disorder like psychologist and media make it out to be.
Psychologist make an extreme amount of money selling drugs to people for depression, post partum depression, bi polar, schitzophrenia, etc etc.
Just stop trying to exagerate things but everyone does it!
it's like saying you slept for 100 hours- well no you didn't- that'd be a coma. but you mean you slept for a long time...ya know...just don't exagerate. say things straight instead.

You do not have anything to be ashamed of if you are bipolar it is a treatable disorder and it is not your fault anymore than if you had diabetes or anything else. Tell your mom or dad and see what happens do not be afraid it will be ok.

Go to a doctor. Get diagnosed. then you will know. this way you won't have to guess if you have it. Tell him your symptoms. Your medical history is personal so your brother doesn't have to know. Best wishes!

Gaby you have no choice but to go and talk to your folks. If you do have it they need to take you to a doctor to get it treated. If they refuse got to your school nurse or counselor.
