Well grapes are good for you, but any type of food that you over eat is not good. I'd say as long as you don't feel sick you are fine. As for carbs that is alot!

Each grape has about 4 calories and 1g of carbs. However, the carbs that come from good grapes won't kill you even probably in a 1/4 lb per day sort of thing. But to eat 4 lbs is too much on top of what other food you would eat per day to get what you need in terms of nutrients and protein.

If you can't stop eating them, don't buy them! They are what nutritionists call trigger foods -- once you start, you just can't stop.

Try to get 4 servings of fruit in a day and then stop. I love fruit myself, too, but working on getting 3-4 fruit servings a day as well as 4-5 veggies, usually fills me up.

Too much of anything is not good for you. 1 cup of grapes is a serving and you should get 5 servings of fruit a day. However it is healthier to get a variety of fruit to benefit from nutrients available in other fruit.
Grapes are naturally full of sugar. That is how you make wine - the yeast eats the sugar and turns it into alcohol. If you eat a cup of standard green grapes, that is 15g of carbs there.
This might be worth it if they were nutritional powerhouses like some other berries are. However, they are pretty inept in providing anything to you. You get 2% of your Vitamin A, 6% of your Vitamin C, and pretty much nothing else. You'd do much better eating pretty much any other vegetable or berry that exists.

All fruits have carbs, first of all. And carbs aren't necessarily a bad thing.

Secondly, any food -- healthy or otherwise -- can be overdone. Moderation is always key. Obviously, you want to vary your diet and make sure that it provides you all of the essential nutrients that you need. Grapes alone will not do that for you. So, you might want to tone the grapes down a bit. You can still have some... just maybe not so much.

Too much fruit can also cause digestive problems (e.g. diarrhea), so you'll want to watch out for that.

GRAPES? BAD? so maybe they do have carbs......but you've got it lucky. I have an obbsession with grapes, so I actually get up late at night and eat an entire bag. I dont think its a really serious matter, considering the fact that i don't mind what has carbs, but if you really feel that insecure tell your doctor.

LOL sounds like you don't need any help with the poo poo pe doo. lol
I think you need to limit your grapes to about a half a pound a day and add a variety of other fruits and veggies to the snack tray. 4lbs is definitley overboard. If you really want to munch so much food, make a tray with carrots, celery sticks, cucumber, tomatoes...after you eat all your veggies then use the grapes as a reward for eating your veggies. 1/2 lb is plenty remember. If you can't resist, then only buy the small amount daily.

It's probably not a problem. Grapes do have a moderate amount of fructose sugar, but not nearly as much as, say, most soft drinks. Grapes are of course mostly water, and the skins, collectively, are a good source of fiber.

Grapes also contain a number of healthy compounds, most notably vitamin C, Procyanins and small amounts of the antioxidant Resveratrol. But you would have to probably eat much more grapes than you do already to get any antioxidant benefit, since resveratrol probably has a half life in the body of less than 20 minutes.

Incidentally, it is possible to create an electrical plasma in your microwave using grapes........

Too much of ANYTHING will be bad for you. You somehow need to limit how many grapes you buy. 4 pounds is quite too much to eat in one day. Set out a limit plan to a small bowl a day, and if you live with someone, have them keep you in check so you don't sneak from the next days rations of grapes. Make sure your diet is varied and not simply consisting of grapes. They are super healthy for you, but keep it in moderation. Substitute with other fruits or healthy snacks in the meantime to curb your hunger.

They do have too much sugar. Try drinking a glass of a fiber supplement (non sugary) before so you'll be full. Eat the grapes with some type of fat (whipped cream cheese) to slow the spike in insulin that occurs from consuming too much sugar. Try freezing them individually in an icecube tray with water so you have to chew on the icecube to get to the grape. If all else fails just stop buying them. Your will power might be greater when you are at the store, if you don't buy them you can't eat them!

Eating 4 lbs. of anything on a daily basis can't be good.

But, if you are going to be addicted to eating 4 lbs. of anything in a day at least it's not chocolate!
