Inside my omelet, I'm using sausage, bacon, ham, cheese, and black olives. What would go best with these & any suggestions on cooking the actual omelet??

The reason I am using these ingredients is because that's what he told me he wanted in it. So I'm not changing what I have planned to put in there.

I give you credit for wanting to do something nice for you bf, but I do think your fillings may not be the best. The black olives are a little random and all of the meat is overkill. You could go for a basic ham and cheese, a nice swiss is good. Good balance for bacon would be mushrooms, some spinach--just don't get it in your teeth, not sexy!, and cheddar. Agreek omelet would be nice with black olives, tomatoes, feta and you could add some sausage. Cook the omelet in a well oiled skillet, med-high heat add the beaten eggs first and shake pan and stir with the other hand with the tines of a fork . When it begins to set add the fillings- cook any meat prior-and using a spatula fold the omelet. If you can't seem to get the sides away from the pan, you can always put it under the broiler and then fold. Don't be upset if it doesn't work, omelets are kind of hard. wear a smile and little else.

Use a tablespoon creme freish, freshe? (not sure how to spell it, it is a french cream) instead of milk to mix with the eggs. The French do this. Whip the eggs until you get a foam on top. 2 minutes. Then use real butter and set the burner to a low heat. You want to cook it slowly, not quickly, that dries it out and makes it likely to break.

Pour the egg mixture slowly and cook until brown on the edges. Add the ingredients last. Cook any veggies or meats first. Then slide the omelet out and close it on the plate. Et viola!

A side of grits if you are Southern, hash browns or fried potatoes seasoned with season all and some fresh melon and strawberries. Maybe biscuits, or even pancakes?

I think you mix too many flavours: sausages and bacon OK but ham on top? Your omelet is quite rich already so I'd only serve a nice tossed salad and crispy bread to go with.

Have some fresh orange juice ready in a pitcher.

Here is a page with simple easy instructions (with pictures) for making the omelette. (there is a technique).

Also, when adding the ingredients...think *less is more*.

I used to be guilty of putting too much in.....and then you can't taste the egg.

Have fun!
