My mother was a stay at home my for over twenty five years and just recently has gone back to work. She still continues to cook and clean and shop for everything my family needs.

Yes, there is "duty" and responsibilty in a household....but it is not something that should be over-looked or under appreciated. How would your husband feel if the above *wasn't* done for a day? I bet he would change his tune quickly!! It is out of love and respect for your family that you do what you mentioned in your question....not out of duty-ship. Your husband should say thank you for all that you do regardless of what he brings to the home.

You are not his maid or nanny. You are his wife and the mother of his children. There is a world of difference!!

I'd leave for a few days, let him try to manage your kids, and house with you gone. Your husband needs a kick in the face to believe slaving over him and your kids is your duty, Eff that! I understand it needs to be done, but he needs to help you and get over the chauvinistic behaviour.

You're worth more than that. Get your kids to help out around the house as well. I started when I was younger. I knew how to do laundry by the age of nine. I was the baby too! Mom had no mercy, :P I thank her for it though. I'm quite responsible because of it.

If my boyfriend ever said that to me, I'd drop kick him.

Good luck love,

-.-'

Next time he's home for dinner have none waiting.
then he'll kick in the "hard day at work, where is my dinner?" Tell him get his own, beside working is your duty bud suck it up.

His response was kind of cold. It's out of love that you do all that you do. A little recognition goes a long way. Mothers are heros
in my book!
