At 33 weeks, your uterus has risen well over your umbilicus, or bellybutton. Many things are happening right now, and the positioning of the baby is rather crucial in determining the origin of your pain. If it seems unassociated with what you do, or eat, or relatively unrelated to anything you can think of, it could very well be that your body is simply trying to readjust with all of the extra "load" of the baby and all that goes with it. Depending on the exact positioning of the pain it could be what is known as the phrenic nerve being stimulated, which is the same nerve that is affected with a gallbladder attack. It could be pain that is related to lung displacement, or it could just be muscular in nature. Note whether you have other symptoms associated with this pain. Nausea, vomiting, GI symptoms of any kind. Also, is it difficult to breathe due to the pain on inspiration, or are you actually short of breathe? Answers to these questions will help your doctor make an accurate determination as to the nature and cause of your discomfort. Chances are, it is benign in nature. But, you can never be too certain, especially when you have another life depending on you! :) Consult your doctor, see what he says, just to be safe.

Good luck with the new baby! It is all uphill from here! God bless.

In your stage of pregnancy all your organs are being pushed up and back by the baby. It is not uncommon for mothers without prior back pain to have back pains. You are just predispositioned for it.

Hard for us to say. Go to your obgyn and see what they think. You probably need a adjustment, then you'll be fine. Best left up to doc.
