It's not as rough as drinking beer or wine before liquor but different kinds of liquors can affect different people in different ways. Typical bad situations I've seen or done involve drinking decent amounts of vodka or gin then going to bourbon has made people pretty sick. Also starting with a dark liquor then going to gin has messed people better then I up pretty bad. Adding tequila to any drinking night for a short while can make you more likley to vomit too. But mixing light and dark alcohol in like a Long Island Iced Tea is no worse then drinking the equivalent of Vodka alone or whiskey alone.

Just be careful at a bar or at home and learn what you can handle. You won't get seriously sick by switching the liquor of choice up but some drinks followed by others may hit you harder or faster.

Do you mean light and dark as in the two colors of beer, or do you mean with respect to calories, or do you mean something like beer vs. whiskey? There's a variety of meanings here, and therefore a variety of answers. If you mean the different color beers, I see no problem whatsoever, just so long as you don't "overindulge". If you mean different beers with respect to calories and alcohol content, I see no problems. But, if you mean mixing beer with wine or whiskey, I always got a bad hangover the next morning, so that's why I stick to the same kind of drink. I know, as an alcohol and drug abuse counselor for 20+ years, now retired, that "alcohol is alcohol", but I can tell you as one red-blooded human being, if I mix the different types of drinks, I get a hangover. I hope I haven't confused you, and hope I have been of some benefit in my long-winded answer. God Bless you.

If you're looking to avoid a hangover, then it's best to pick one type of alcohol and stick with it. The higher end liquors tend to be better. Drinks with high sugar content tend to make you sick because is messes with your blood sugar level. If you're asking medically, then most doctors would tell you not to drink at all. But as with most things, moderation is the key.

Light or Dark it's better than Honey. It's worth it's weigh in gold or money. It's all the same just crossing the diffrent types at diffrent speeds of drinking will tend to get you drunk faster.

I would not because it is safe to say the mix would leave a bad after taste. Stay with just one and play it safe at least for the taste buds.

you will probably get more drunk, have a worse hangover when mixing colors, like a long island has many different liquors in it and it gets people SMASHED. it is probably worse on the stomach, but youre drinking alcohol anyway so it doesnt really matter.

I doubt you did that, because when it fermented it would of blown apart the cup you put it in with a tight lid, so that means if it didn't blow the lid off or blow up that it did not ferment. So there is no alcohol and it will smell nasty and make ya sick.

I got really really sick either because I drank too much or else because I was drinking screwdrivers at first then switched over to tequila. Haven't done that since and I've been fine.

It really doesn't matter; color has nothing to do with the safety of an alcoholic beverage. They are both poisonous.
