If you have a blow dryer and a brush, you can just blow dry your hair and use the brush to straighten it out; you concentrate on each area at a time. If you have long hair and thick hair, just work your way from the bottom up. I do it every morning because I have naturally curly/wavy hair. You can use a flat brush, and it will actually give you the same effect as using a flat iron. Make sure you use mousse, straightening lotion, or gel to keep the frizz down. If you have a regular curling iron, you can actually use it for any other problem areas in the same manner that you use a flat iron.

Towel dry only a little, and start combing. Comb straight. Apply gel, or pomade and comb again. Put the damp towel back on your head, but only drape it - like a shawl. If your hair is a little curly this will work, but if it's a lot curly, decide on a different hairstyle for the morning. It's not the end of the world, it's only hair.
I have straight hair - I would love to have curly hair! Isn't it always that way?

Pull it straight with a brush while you blow dry it. But why did your mom take your flat iron? If you've overused it and damaged your hair, maybe it's time to give your hair a break and let it be wavy. Or is it taking too much time and making you late? If so, plan ahead, because the brush and blow drier method takes time.

dont blow dry cause thatll just make it wavy just find your flat iron around the house get your mom to leave and flat iron it in a really low and really loose pony tail so she wont notice it and try to sleep really light on the hair for the morning or go to walmart and buy a straightner and there only 20.00 and straighten your hair and then tell her you blow dried it and save your packadge to the new one and when she decides to give your straightner back then take the other one back and save your reciept too well good luck

you can definitly use a normal clothing iron. i used to do it all the time because it actually gets your hair straighter then a curling iron. make sure your hair is COMPLETELY dry. heat up the iron (but make sure it's not too hot), lay your hair on something flat, or even just hold a towel underneath it, and just iron it out. works like a charm.

Do you have a curling iron? If so you can use that as a flat iron, just clip your hair at the top and slowly go down. It won't work as well but it'll do.

seriously what really really works is a iron the one that you use for your clothes when you have wrinkles, my friend did it and it look great, it really works but make sure to rest your hair in a flat place and don't do it too hot, reduce the hot temperature in the iron, and wake up early because it might take a some time.

keep brushing it straight down while you blowdry it with the dryer facing down and barely moving it from side to side. i have very poofy hair and that is how i do it when i want to have starighter hair. it won't completely do the job and will take awhile, but it;s better than nothing. why in the world did your mom take your straight iron away???

Back in the '60s, the girls used to use a regular (clothes) iron set on a low setting. If it's really important to you . . .
