Don't listen to these as$holes... get what you want. I have a four leaf clover with a banner and my name (Cassidy) in the middle. I got my name because I love it and am proud of it... the whole thing represents my Irish heritage. I would say facing you... you could always give people high fives every time you introduce yourself... that way they can read your name and make sure they get it right. I am not being a smart as$... im totally serious.

Getting your own name tattooed on your wrist does seem kind of egocentric, kind of like keeping a picture of yourself in your wallet. If you really want to do it though, try to see if the tattoo artist can turn it into an ambigram (so it can read the same upside down). Not everyone can do this, so you might want to ask different artists to try it.

Are you afraid it will forget what your name is?
Most people I know that have wrist tattoos have something very special to them, facing themselves so they will see it regularly.
If the tattoo is JUST a tattoo that you want to get, then get it somewhere else. I love my tattoos but there are certain times that I wish some of them were not so visible.

Don't listen to the naysayers. You can easily hide it with a wristwatch if need be.
Interestingly enough, in about 3 weeks I'm having the word THINK tattooed on the inside of my left wrist. I'll have it facing me, so that I can always read it, but if I hold my hand up and out others can read it too. Cheers!

If you're going to get your name tattooed on your wrist..then get it facing out. You already know you own name so you don't need it facing in. Another thought...instead of getting it on the wrist, have it tattooed on your ankle. Permanant ankle bracelet. :)

Why do you want YOUR name tattooed on yourself? Are you afraid you're going to forget it? If you want a name tattooed on your wrist, get one of your parents' names, or a sibling, or a favorite relative, possibly. Remember, tattoos are permanent and do you really want your own name on you for the rest of your life?

If I was going to get one there I would have the tattoo, when your left palm is turned toward you, have the letters start on the left side. So, facing up

I think that either way would look really good to a potential hiring manager 5 years from now when you are trying to shake hands with them........maybe a place easier to hide is best. Unless you will be applying to a tattoo parlor.
