Hey, it's almost Mardi Gras, so I figured this would be a topical question.

I know the baby is supposed to represent the baby Jesus, but why do they put it in and what does it mean if you're the person who got the baby in your piece?

I believe it's generally a good luck symbol - and therefore good luck to the recipient.

Have fun with Mardi Gras - and don't forget the costumes! :)

(I won a costume award at a ball for going as The Little Rose Girl. What fun!)
