Human nature

Why? Because these are the people who have maximum power in their hands. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Where there is power, there are very high chances of corruption and mis-use. This can only be minimized if
1. People in these positions are honest
2. The system have checks and balances

But in India, there are no (or negligible) checks and balances. An importand element of checks-and-balances is the judiciary. But in India, it takes decades and decades to decide a case. RTI (Right To Information) Act is another mean to check corruption but that has come more than 55 years after our independence.

Because they are in control.

I REALLY recommend you watch a documentary called "Why We Fight". It is not a Michael Moore video, or anything like it. It is not slanted to a certain side either. It is simply the most important documentary ever made.

Get it at NetFlix. If you don't have netflix, sign up for the free 2 week trial, rent it, then cancel your membership and you will pay nothing.

It will open your eyes up as to who controls the country.

Let me know if you actually are going to rent this!

They are the easiest to blame, and they are in public view. The moment you blame someone, you get lots of support from the public and opposition because everyone needs fun, needs someone to blame and some front runner/leader to bell the cat. If anything goes wrong and the official found faultless, then only you will be blamed and not your sycophant followers.

Everyone throughout history collectively has given them the bag to hold.

They all deserve THEIR portion of the blame. That's it. For the symptom to change positively society will have to learn that BLAME is often best pointed at others. Sarcasm has just been aimed at society!

When we all learn to blame ourselves more often we will accomplish more often.
