Ok. You need a pro. Or just let it grow out.
You can lighten (strip) the color out and get to blond then add color to get to some shade of brown but this will damage your hair. If it is long like mine (waist length ) it can take up to 5 boxs of lightener and then another 5 just to get past red to blond then you would need 5 boxs of brown. It would probably be cheeper to go to a pro.
If you have short hair and don't mind the damage go for it. You will look on the box for the word lightener and it may say can go 5 to 7 shades lilghter with just one use. If you can't find this and are in the USA go to sally's and ask for a bleach . You will stll probably need to do this twice. I would do this friday then use a ph balanced shampoo then do it saturday then use the shampoo then color it brown on sunday. Good Luck.

I had my hair taken down from black to my natural colour a few months ago. I had my hairdresser do a few full heads of foils, yes using the cream bleach but she then toned them with a brown toner so that my highlights were a nice chocolate brown, not blonde. Each time I had my hair cloured she would use a slightly lighter brown toner until my hair got back to its natural colour. I never once had obvious streaks, just a bit of subtle highlights came through, and it looked and still looks gorgeous

you will would desire to dye the sunshine brown lower back on your organic hair coloration. Wait a pair weeks for the colour to settle in and then use a medium brown. Black hair is extra durable to coloration thats why the stylist used bleach to get a swifter result. i exploit container dye from wal-mart when I coloration my hair. Have somebody assist you so which you get a superb insurance.

You will need to definitely lift your old color, which you should go to a pro for. You don't want to try to fix something and make it look worse! If everyone likes it and you don't,you need to do something about it. Your hair is like a permanent accessory that you have to wait to change unlike your purse. You should have a pro do it for sure. It's your hair, not theirs. It will most likely be a pretty pricey thing to do but in the long run, you will probably like it better. It will be tedious and will require more than one day of coloring (which is very normal for color corrections). But I think you will like it better.

Try Loreal Haircolor remover kit. It removes the dye without damaging your hair. I dyed my naturally white hair a soft shade of brown-it turned green-the Loreal took it right out. Never gonna dye it again.

my hairdresser told me that demi permanents take 20-28 washes to get rid of & that you could speed up the process by putting a teaspoon of bicarb soda in your shampoo.
However ive yet to try this out since ive only ever dyed my hair with permanents.

Hi there! not sure what country you are in, but here in australia quite a few places sell products that remove permanent hair coulour without bleaching your hair. It basically separates the coulours somehow...its quite effective, i've used it before. Ask your local beauty store if they have anything simmilar.

i suggest you just let your hair grow out and when it gets long enough like a few inches, chop off the black part of the hair and use mousse or gel to spike it back or leave it the way it is (i noe some girls that are really cute when they have short hair)
i would do that instead of risking damaging any of my hair
i like my hair

Oh dear, no, do not use bleach!!!
Try picking out a more neutral brown shade of color and try to cover up your mistake by using some brown shades...
It may take a couple of trys, but that's what I have done in my past...
Please wait at least a week between colorings to give your hair a chance to accept the newer color and relax first...
Then try again with a lighter shade of brown, perhaps one that's closest to your own shade...
