i wanna forget about him?

soa ya....
theres this guy. i met him this school year coz we have a math class together.
after he helped me with some things after school a couple of times. we walked home together too and we had the best time together.
after a while he told me he liked me and i told him that i liked him too. one time he asked me to go to this church dance with him (hes mormon) and i said i might go but i ended up not going coz my dad was DJing it and i knew it would have made me uncomfortable to dance with my dad watching. well we still talk at school and theres still this something between us but he never asked me out again and we never even hung out or anything. i still like him so much but i think hes over me. its so hard to forget about him because i see him every day at school....help?

i told him why i didnt go to that dance....but the whole dance thing was a few months ago....

The best thing to do with anyone is be completely honest with them. You may not have to lay your heart out to this guy, but you should ask him why you guys haven't hung out, or why he hasn't asked you out. Or, you could invite him to do something. I would focus on creating a friendship, then if something else comes from it great. The best relationship I had in school was the one I was most open and straight forward in. Don't be afraid of getting turned down or him not liking you, because that doesn't reflect upon you as an individual, just his preferences. The greatest thing you can do is have a understanding of yourself and be comfortable in your skin. If you do and are, you will always be fine. Good luck.

He probably still likes you girl. It's just the whole rejection thing-you never went to the dance after he'd invited you. Youngs guys usually find it difficult expressing if they like a girl, let alone asking her out-so most likely you've injured his pride a little.
He's almost certainly too scared to make another move, so the ball seems to be in your court. If you think there's something still there between you, why don't you casually ask him to join you in something you want to do. i.e have lunch together, kick it after school at the park etc. This is the only way to find out if there's a chance to get something going again.
If this fails, then it's gonna be easier for you to move on, 'cause then at least you know that you tried. It's all about closure.
But my bet is that he likes you and is waiting for you to make your move.

Awhh... this is so sad. Well all you need to do is just keep being you! If he is/was really feeling you, he will come around. You just have to be strong, pay him no attention and act like you dont care. Showing him too much love and attention will keep him at a distance, because then he will feel like he has you. Boys/guys like it when the girl is a CHALLENGE...and not easy to get. Above all....you are still in school, so I think passing that math class is far more important.

did he know your dad was going to be at that dance? Maybe he thinks you don't like him. Maybe he's not over you talk to him and tell hi why you didn't go to that dance and maybe he'll understand.

I have two options for you, you can either ask him out and tell him how you feel, or just think that if he's not asking you out then he's not interested but you dont have to stop liking him.

Talk to him and explain why you didn't show up to the dance. If he can't understand then don't waste your time and forget him.
