i know how you feel man...i have had simular situations. My advice would be just to rember what you had and move on with your life. maybe you will find eachother again someday. if not there is plenty of other women out there who are looking for that man in there life. My friend, don't dwindle on the past and keep looking for a book that is no longer there. remeber it in your heart and move on. Never forget it though! for it was a very imporant part of your life. But we all must make the hard descion and learn to move on with our lives. But if you feel that you must truely try to find her (as i did) then, by all means do everything you can to locate her. do a people search, try looking for a way to find her online...try talking to people she knew, track down her family members and ask them if they know anything. All in all if you find her my friend, Kudos for you have accomplished what i and many others have not been able to. If not then as i said then rember her and charish her forever in your heart, but learn to move on with your life and to love again. My best wishes to you. If you need anyother advice please feel free to email me anytime. i am always looking to meet new friends.

You can either move on, call her, or wallow in what could've been.
If we all married out first loves, we would all get married at 17.
She could've used a bit of understanding -- your mom had cancer!
It's normal to miss people who were close to you, if they're not around anymore.
If you've tried to get ahold of her again, with no answer, you might want to take the hint.
As much as it sucks, go with option number one...

Hm. Well you could try to catch her in person, or give a letter to one of her friends. I don't really understand what you mean...your mom had cancer and you isolated yourself from her then? If thats the case say, "I'm sorry I distanced myself from you, I was going through a really tough period in my life, and now I realize what a mistake that was..." Or something like that.

I had a somewhat similar experience. I still have feelings for my ex, but at some point what's done is done. if she's not responding, then she is sending a message by not sending a message (if you know what i mean). It's time to move on.

If i may say, you are an idiot. Your mom had cancxer and you helped her, an your gf got pissed! She must be a b*tch. She was supposed to support you. Plus there are many fish in the sea.

i would proably forget about her. i know it sounds like the obvious but if she got mad at you for not being there for her when you were dealing with your moms cancer problem maybe she isn't right for you... you needed her there for you when going through something like that... thats just my observation though.
