I don't have a problem with your disbelief because that is between you and God but the problem that is clearly seen on here in YA and abroad is that there are those who disbelieves as you do but they express their disbeliefs with perpetual hate and degeneracy.
If you all want people to respect & accept your views and your way of thinking then it would help if you all would start showing respect of others' religious beliefs.
You don't have to believe if you don't want to but in order for you to get then you have to be willing to give also.
I don't mind having a debate or discussion about my beliefs with an atheist or other non-believers and I also know that some of you are serious about your curiousity towards the christian faith and I understand that it doesn't mean that you are willing to take that leap of faith and on the other hand I am sort of curious about your disbelief as to why you choose not to believe in God but unfortunately people like you hinders me from asking because of your attitude towards my beliefs.

I would prefer you be honest. I know someone who is an atheist, and try to understand what they think and how they feel...and I can honestly understand the "why" of how they have come to be where they are. Nothing wrong for standing for what you choose to decide!

True believers prefer honesty...Finding out an atheist lied to cover his atheism would give me a reason to not trust him in other ways, and reinforce my belief that because God's laws say we should not bear false witness against our neighbors, it is safer to trust Christians than atheists. At least the Christian knows he will answer to God. The atheist thinks he might get away with everything...

Why should you have to hide who you are? I'm a Christian, and I have friends from just about every belief system you can think of -- Christian, atheist, agnostic, pagan, Wicca, Buddhist, etc.
I'm comfortable around them because we respect each other. If you and I became friends, I'd do the same for you.

Just hide it all. Everyone should not have to hear all about God and vice versa. I just don't want other people's beliefs pushed on me, I don't care in particular what people believe. Someone has to believe in something, be it aliens, no God, Two Gods, Five Gods, Holy Cows, Statues, Medusa, Jesus, and whatnot, etc ad nauseum. Opinions are like A holes, everyone got one.

Honesty. I've grown up around atheists, and I've either been Christian, Agnostic, or Muslim and I've never had a big problem with them. So I don't really see what people mean when they say Atheists are persecuted...? There's a lot of Atheists so you should be in good company, right?

If we hide it we are doing it for our own good. Some places it is just not smart. If your in a position of power like Richard Dawkins then that's a different story. If we hide it we will never have a strong position in society.
Atheist.

I am a Christian, and I think that everyone deserves respect. If you have analyzed things and come to the conclusion that there is no God, don't be ashamed of that. (I personally have more respect for an athiest or an agnostic than for a person who CLAIMS to be Christian and then lives their life opposite of the standards that Jesus set.)

Put simply...
Atheists dont like Christians preaching, Christians dont like Atheists preaching.
People dont like people pushing their beliefs on others, such as "Gods Real!" or "Gods Imaginary".
Preachers suck... regardless what their preaching.
Theres no reason to hide what you believe, but when quoting your belief, people should say "I believe God is Real!" or "I believe God is Imaginary" not state it as fact, in either view.
