Some humans will never learn. Love and compassion could change the world.Just imagine what could happen if each human performed one act of compassion? I don't think that will happen until the Buddha Maitreya is reborn to teach us and enlighten us.

The wisdom of understanding that love, compassion, selflessness and serving others as the ultimate is very deep and selfless itself. It is not profound but I guess people generally don't accept these because there's still the belief that evil and darkness are always a part of life. Those who understand otherwise knows that heaven on earth started from each of our own personal initiative to be good and be part of the light. Evil and darkness are simply distorted good. They're not absolute.

Not of us will learn this, because there are too many people like that nestarilus or whatever that answered your question. Not enough of us care. I care deeply and am saddened by the state of the world. I can't believe how people treat each other. I have been ridiculed so often for saying things like you say. The other day I got called an idealist. Like I should be ashamed of myself for wanting everyone to love each other and care for each other. It's depressing, I don't know what to tell you. I have been trying to make people understand these things. love peace understanding. They don't want to. Give it up. Either people get it already or they don't and they never will. No matter how much we want people to love, they won't. Give up before you end up as nuts and depressed as me, you're never gonna change anyone.

Human thought basically hates the truth and believes in itself as an entity, a god, and so is not inclined to seek refuge in love.

People can only give out of a surplus. Modern life does not provide that surplus; it simply demands more and more. Your point is nice, but naive.

I don't want to learn how to be a blind servant. Apparently, neither do the rest of us. That's the simple and truthful answer.
