Well, there are two ways. You could go the pricey way with John Frieda Brilliant Brunette...or you could go the cheap way with Garnier Fructis or Suave. They have special colored shampoos that leave you're hair colorful up to an extra 6 weeks.

I just recently started using Loreal Vive. It's a newer shampoo.. and it IS kind of expensive.. but it works miracles on dyed/highlighted hair! (they have different shampoos for dyed and highlighted hair!)

I know that Dove makes this great line of products just for people who went lighter or darker than their hair color.

i say use graham webb thickening infusion i think its called..and biosilk by farouk for a conditioner. these products work well and can be found in your hair salon, a beauty shop, or www.usahaircare.com

best i found is pantene.
try it with the conditioner also. they have many varieties.
works wonders for me.
