why do people think that everytime a girl and guy are friends, they assume they are bf and gf?

People are stupid.
Guys and girls can be the best of friends without becoming intimiately involved in any way.
Dont worry, its very very possible.

Because when your younger . Actually having a girl for a friend is having a Girlfriend. Also one does like the other more than what they wish to believe.
When your older . It is exceptable to have a female friend . But one of the two does wish to sleep with the other except they are able to handle it better.
Speaking from experience and theory . A friendship between a male female is found to be the strongest kind.

Of course they can! I have a best girl-friend, and I'm very sure a lot of other people do too.
its just a thing these days for people to assume that a girl/boy are dating.. Rather annoying but thats the way it is.
Seems some people just like to hear about people getting together.. they almost use it as some form of entertainment. Weird...
I just don't think about it, its all that you can do. Its nothing important to them anyway.

because people watch a lot of TV, listen to a lot of romantic songs, and fall for love stories in books or in movies. people often let emotions get over their thinking- which is why when you see a guy and girl, you think about romance, because that's what we are used to seeing with the stuff listed above, but i trully, honestly believe, and desire, that i be good friends with someone, actually bestfriends, before i ever decide to be with her. this is really very very difficult because im also an emotional person. i also listen to those crazy music.. but in the end id rather be with someone who knows me inside out (vice versa), who's going to love me for the best of me and the worst of me. so be friends. it's the real best step towards anything great. and if nothing romantic clicks, at least you have a a lifelong comrade!

I always grew up hanging out w/alot of guy friends. My sis is the same way. My husband say's it's not possible to just be friends when u r older.He say's it's just asking for trouble. A friend of ours just proved his point twice, She cheated on her man w/2 good friends. But I don't think it always leads to that.

i dont know why people do that but it's incredibly annoying... i have tons of guy friends and i hate when people assume that since we hang out there must be something more there... its so frustrating sometimes!

They can JUST be friends, but usually it ends up more if you become to close of friends.

i know exactally what ur talking about. but thats the way the minds of other people work, just be friends and just not care wat other people think. just ignore every one else, nothing can break your friendship!!!
