That is only men that have not grown up yet. It is some sort of penis thing. They have to act tough for their male friends. This is the sort of man that you never want to rely on because until they grow up if they ever do, they are not worth your time. They will always think more of their friends than they will of the girl that they proclaim their love for in private. The way I see it if a guy can not say I love you and treat me well in front of everyone he knows then I don't care to hear it in private. True love has no shame.

Because that's what they are they have to look macho in front of their friends. But the first time it happens, is when you have to tell them how you feel about it and nicely discuss options when he's around his friends, like tell him if he wants to act like that then maybe he should go visit his friends alone.Tell him you don't care how he acts when he's with them alone, but when your around try and show you some respect. If woman don't demand respect from some men, then the things they do they feel is appropriate because you never verse your opinion about it. Good luck

I second that. I really don't know. If they like you though then make damn sure you let them know how you feel. The cold shoulder always works if they get really bad but always make sure you let them in on why you're mad. If that doesn't work, nothing will and they're just jerks who aren't worth being around. Older males hardly do this unless they're actively looking for an excuse to not get any that night, lol.

It's a guy thing. Has something to do with their pride. They want to seem like the man/ tough guy in the relationship and don't want to show that mushy, nice side to their friends. They feel they have an image to keep up.

Guys don't like for other guys to see their "mushy" side. So they hide it when their friends are around. It does get a little bit better the older they get.

well, I've never really had this problem... sound like he's insecure... I think you should get a man who respects you 100% of the time.
He OBVIOUSLY cares more about what his friends think than how you feel... is that the kind of man you want?????

b/c most likely he's young, HS age, which means he immature which leads to "I don't want my boys thinking I'm a pusssy!" So that's the reason...it's stupid, yes I know, but that's adolescent boys for ya.

Because they wouldn't want their friends to know that they are nice to you when you are alone.

I guess it's a guy thing. But they shouldn't act like that towards any of us girls. Just play his game see how he likes it. Good luck!
