Why am i so sleepy guys. Im only 17 years old, and i get really sleepy at around 10pm, when i sleep at about 1030, i wake up at 730 for school and im still very tired. why is this. I am also somewhat stressed due to death in family, need of money, and minor family problems, but i dont know someone please help.

You need vitamins and minerals. honey,. Take apple cider vinegar in a glass of water 2 x day or whenever you need a snack. Has 93 vitamins and minerals. Cures depression which is what you have. Pray, meditate that your life is wonderful and it will be if you look on the happy side of life. Forget the negative. See the positive and your life will improve. Read books about positive thoughts.

You just need to have a quality sleep of at least 8 hours. Dont stay late in the evening. Think positive, all problems has a solution. Just think that you are still has an edge over those less fortunate people who are living in this world, and yet they managed to survive. Find someone whom you can share or voice out your problem. It may be a best friend, a pastor, a teacher or a counselor. In addition you may also seek medical attention for an advice if you think that your sleep disorder is getting worse.

There could be several reasons. If you snore a lot, it could be sleep apnea. You could even have some form of narcolepsy. Also stress is a huge factor. Could be depression. If you have trouble going to sleep its insomnia, if you have trouble with waking up early in the AM then its depression. If all else fails ask your doc about a drug called Provigil. I take it and I love it, imagine coffee or caffine without the gitteryness. Good luck.

Ur problem seems more of psychological than any other things. U r taking enough sleep that is 8 hrs. The more important thing comes out here is the quality of sleep rather than quantity of the same. If u have to get awake in the middle of sleep for reasons such - to go to bathroom, to drink water, being hungry, bad dreams or other similar things, then u need to void bladder, drink 'enough' water and food, put away all ur worries while going to sleep. right now u r in stress which makes u feel tired even after taking enough sleep. U need to n relax and think of possible way of sorting out all ur problems. There r five possible ways to get rid of stress.
1. Think positive, talk out ur problem with ur friends, wife/husband, other trusted people
2. Relax by playing games, joing laughing club, doing yoga
3. Certain activities like exercising, swimming, riding cycle
4. Develop interest in things making u feel happy
5. Nutrition- get good nutrition to ur body ur mind and ur spirit
So, u need to sort out ur problem by having a word with person who will help u out. Hope u get out of this situation. Cos nodding to such situation will make u weaker in ur life and to struggle against such situation will help u b a successful person, cos u r too little for bearing such situation.

as far as the sleep goes, it could just be normal teenage hormones. but considering your other stressors, maybe you are experiencing mild depression. a death in the family, depending on how close the relationship, can cause an adjustment disorder, which you may also be experiencing. if you feel like your symptoms are bothersome enough, i would go talk to a counselor, therapist, or psychiatrist. you may just need to go to some counseling sessions until you feel better, or a low dose of antidepressants for a while, but its hard to tell. if you are still in high school, i would suggest going to talk to a guidance counselor or school psychologist.

Stress will do it...try a bit of warm milk before bed to get a better quality sleep...be sure the TV and noises are off...it will get better...

make sure you drink enough water. dehydration can lead to fatigue...
