One of the main reasons for
headache is too much sugar.
My headaches were the first
reason to go to the doctor to
find out that I had Diabetes.
Never hurts to get a really
good checkup.............
Second leading cause of
headaches is Pregnancy.

There's always a reason. Could be anything from stress to rebound headaches from using over the counter pain killers constantly to get rid of the headaches ... could also be a hormonal imbalance, a misalignment in the spine (see a chiropractor!) an allergy to a food or a brain tumor. Or high blood pressure. Do you have other symptoms or just some headaches?
If it doesn't bother you that much but is just kind of nagging, then I'd cut back on the soda, increase water, put some relaxation exercises into your life and see what happens. If you are taking pain killers every day then stop. If not, that's good.
Generally the more serious problems would be giving you more serious pain, but headaches aren't normal on a daily basis and you do need to get to the root and do something to help yourself.

I have had headaches all my life and I'm now in my 50's and in good health. Over the years I have finally figured out some things that I think cause them:
1)being around 2 much cigarette smoke.
2)washing my hair in hot water, yes its true, try lukewarm water on your head, and if you have to use hot water, then rinse it with cool.Everytime I wash my hair in very hot water, i get a headache in the next couple of days.
3)Sleep with the window cracked a little bit for fresh air. Also
don't sleep with the covers up over your head, it cuts down on oxygen and makes you get a headache the next morning.
4)make sure your pillow is under your head and neck, don't just put your head on the pillow and let your neck be bent or you will wake up with a headache.
5)coffee or cola in the morning, I think the caffeine helps, at least for me.
6)Taking Tylenol PM at night helps you avoid a headache the next day.
7)try to not stress yourself out. Notice if when you get stressed you are biting or clenching your jaw tight. I was doing this and didn't even realize it.
hope this helps.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

Headaches caused by many things, but, it only indicated one thing: you need to take care of yourself.
It is a warning sign that you are not taking care your health. Try to get enough sleep/rest, stay away the daily stress (if you can) and eat well.
