ugh this whole stupid day shouldn't even be a holiday!!! and im having a hard time relating to all my friends (that just happened to actually have boyfriends this year, leaving me, once agian, ALONE!!!)

You are NOT alone. Plenty of us are single at this time of year and for this sickeningly made up holiday. Let them have their fun and treat it as any other day. Ignore everyone.
Even when I am with someone I find this holiday useless. I don't want special treatment one day a year, I want passion all year long. And I don't need to buy or receive flowers or chocolate to know I am happy.
Hating Valentine's day is ok. (And don't let those who have been deceived by society's push for material goods tell you you're just bitter.)

I agree but i don't hate it i mean i kinda even think that maybe its a good reason that we have one day to tell someone we love them more than they usually do .... if we didn't have v-day then guys would have a day to make up for there mistakes .... and besides if we didn't have v-day then guys wouldn't have like a make-up day and u really think that guys are going to buy flowers everyday because there isn't that one special and lots of people get married on v-day or ask someone out on it so they can always remember the day but like ur gonna forget the day u get married but ... i don't like it because it reminds me that im single and have never had a bf but hopefully this year that will all change because i plan on asking this guy out on v-day this year so i can make it really special .....

I hate Valentine's day because I think it's too commercialized. We should be loving to our partners everyday, not just one day a year. My fiancee and I aren't celebrating Vday this year because I'd rather not spend $50 or more on a holiday that doesn't mean anything to me.
But, I also hate how people claim to hate V-day, but love it when they finally land a boyfriend. I have a co-worker who is like this. One day, she hated V-day. Then the next (when she and her ex got back together), she was upset that they were't doing anything (although she'd told me the day before that V-day isn't worth celebrating). That infuriates me. People should believe in what they say 100% of the time, not just when it's convenient for them.

I hate this day as well. Way too materialistic with the valentines cards and all that crap. If you truly loved someone, you won't need a card to say so. Valentines day is suppose to be a celebration of eros love but people just made it too materialistic. I agree. This holiday should be alot less materialistic and about people caring for each other, eros love or not.

LOL you sound just like me:P I mean, I don't really want to have a boyfriend right now, but all my friends do have one, so this will be pretty much a crappy day:) Just think that there are thousands of people in your same situation, and maybe it won't be that hard to find someone who is alone just to spend the day, not like lovers, but like friends (to gossip about the ugly couples:P) Good luck!

It sucks valentines day shouldnt be an excuse for couples to buy flowers and stuff like that it should be an everyday thing, not only that but it makes singles feel lonely and desperate

valentines day is about doing something special for the one you love. it doesnt have to be ur bf or gf it can be your friends and family. just as long as ur w/ the people u love.
