First of all, nutrients aren't "alive", like we are alive. They are just chemical compounds.

Second, cooking doesn't kill them. In some cases, cooking to mush can destroy the nurtients, but in other cases, cooking actually makes certain nutrients easier for our bodies to absorb.

No, no nurtients in air, unless you count watervapor, which is neglibible.

It's a myth. When boiling veg many nutrients are dissolved in the water they are cooked in. Microwaving uses little water so the nutrients stay in the food.
