Your statement is wrong. It implies atheists don't believe.
Actually, Atheists believe in the advancement of the human civilization. They believe in Humanity and focus all their efforts in improving it. They don't believe in a false god whose "plan" limits human potential.

Disagree: To believe in anything including God gets you nowhere but an eternity in hell. I'm not trying to condemn you, that's just what the Bible says. You can believe in God all your life like my dad does, but my dad's never asked Jesus to save him from his sins and make him a new person living in Christ, so unless he makes that decision before he dies he won't go to heaven when he dies. Jesus died on a cross that day whether people choose to believe it or not, and I know that for a fact. He did it so we could choose to follow Him and be born again in His Spirit! So that we might have an abundant life in Him, and one day live eternally in a place where there is no sadness or pain or anything bad! I say choose that path, because belief in any thing else or disbelief in anything will only lead to your complete damnation in hell. No matter how harsh that may seem, it is the truth.

Disagree. Even tho I am not atheist I do not think I am better then them because I believe in a religion. And besides most atheists I know does believe in something...... themselves. if thats not a good enough reason then I dont know what is...
So are you saying its better to believe in a rock then not believe in any religion?

Disagree. It's better to know the truth, even if it unpleasant, then belive a happy lie.
For the theists on this board: Atheists do not belive in a supernatural deity. That is all. They are NOT nilhists and most don't want to be.

Disagree, I would rather be an Atheist than believe in something that is not true.

Disagree. I believe atheists are a lot less threatening to the safety and security of the public.

Assuming you're referring to a strong atheist ("There is no god")...
Hebrews 11:6 (New International Version) And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
If a person truly believes there is no God, then he has two choices: Lie to himself and to God by saying he believes, or speak the truth - that he doesn't believe. What good does it do him to lie? God will know, and deal with him accordingly. And this theoretical atheist will know, and if he has any conscience, the lie will eat at his heart.
Better to be honest, than to say, "I believe" when there's no truth behind it.

Could not disagree more although many if not most people do seem to have a need to believe in something greater than what they can see here.

Disagree. I don't believe in anything and I can't force myself to accept a belief that I don't believe in. Now isn't that simple? You either believe or you don't.
