without meowing all the way. I used to have a friend who's cat would just sit in the back seat etc and sleep so they were able to take her on holidays. We have a 5 and a half month old Ragdoll who will need to travel with us by car at Christmast for a 7 hour trip.

Just try taking your cat on small trips in the car at first. Make sure that there is something familiar smelling in the cat carrier. That will help keep your kitty a little calmer. I have 2 cats and my oldest cat Abby, is still very vocal in the car for the first 20 minutes or so, then she will settle down and sleep. She just doesn't like being in the cat carrier. My youngest cat Tio doesn't make a sound in the car. Best of luck!

First small trips. Put her in something familiar. Crate with her blanker. Also get some of the over the counter stuff at the pet store that can calm them down. Cats really just do not like the car. Good luck.

Most cats never adapt to the car. I had one who went "cruising" with me and my friends on the weekends, but she was anything but normal. Get a nice kennel and lots of blankets for her. After a while in the car she will end up going to sleep and settling down. But, the first part of the trip will be noisy I suspect.

No over the counter stuff needed. That is BS. My cat loves the car. I would take him on trips every weekend and he got used to it and now curls up in my lap when he is not in the carrier. Your cat will get used to it after awhile.

It's the same as how you get to Carnegie Hall. Practice practice practice. In other words, condition ol' rag doll.
