Well, I am fond of Neutrogena products but it make sure you use a product that works well with you hair. You don't want something that will tangle it up even more. If it doesn't say detanger then don't get it. I have long hair and I use a number of products. I have used children's detangler because it works. You might want to get some paul mitchell......you might want to check with some of the people in the salon...go online and see if you can find reviews for the product. I wouldn't use pantene. I don't know the type of hair you have...if it is dry....oily or what but I would be very careful because Pantene leaves this build up on your hair that leaves your hair dull and weighs your hair down. I use to use that but my beautician said that it was very bad for hair.....The thing about it is....when using any product you have to be extra careful especially when the hair is wet...that is when it is at its weakest point. I would section the hair up and take it piece by peace...that is the best way it is going to get done. I have had horrors stories myself. You also need to get a huge big or wide tooth comb......You are going to lose some hair.......I don't know if it is just for me conditioner they also have some soft and beautiful olive oil dentangler........

Yes, I bought it for the first time a few weeks ago, and it works well without being heavy. However, I still find that a spray-on leave in conditioner (like Pantene's) is still helpful for my hair (colored, fine, and a little past my shoulders). They absolutely work without making your hair look greasy or weighed down. Hope this helps!
