Specifically for a WOMAN in her mid to late twenties.

This is obviously subjective, best answer will be given to the person I feel best supports their idea (whether or not I agree)

Feel free to elaborate any way you see fit!!

Thanks for the opinions!

There is no acceptable number . The important thing here is that you have self respect because anything in excess is bad, you also have to think about STD and women have to think about unwanted pregnancies cause not all protection is 100% effective.
with all this said you choose your partners only if you really love him or her and find out about his or her past sexual history. So choose the number wisely.

This is impossible question to try to answer. Everyone has their own ideas of what is an appropriate number of sexual partners. What seems like alot to someone may seem like a relatively low number to someone else. It all depends on a persons personal beliefs and feelings on sex. I had a low number of sexual partners because I wasn't comfortable with giving it up to every man I dated. I'm not saying that I'm better or worse off than someone who was very sexually liberated and had many more partners than I did. My thoughts on sex were just different. I was always upfront and honest when someone asked me how many partners I had been with in the past. Because I was never embarrassed by the number.

zero, would be the PC answer to this question. There is no such thing as a acceptable number of past lovers.. You will find that there are people out here that don't give a damn, if you had a hundred. But, there are others that feel you are damn to hell, for your first time with someone other then your husband.
For myself, It comes down with those relationships that I feel comfortable about, to share. Everything else, was/is something in my past and I would rather leave it there. I also try to treat my partner in the same manner.

The age of mid twenties, I'd say 5 is acceptable. If they can't keep a relationship going for more than say age 25-16 is max of 9 years divided by 5 = 1.8 years, then I don't need to date her anyways. If she couldn't make the last 5 guys happy for at least 2 years, then why would I want her?

I don't even think about a number.. I don't even have a number for myself because I don't keep track. I never ask a woman how many men she's been with so it doesn't matter. Some women have told me 300 or more, some have been just 1 or 2. So I think any number is acceptable.

Obviously you want your mate to have as few number of sexual partners as possible. A 30 year old woman who started sexually at the age of 16 years old. If she had one partner per year, she will have had 14 partners. I would say this number would be my high number. I would prefer 7 or less.

Personally, I don't feel that there is an "acceptable" number of sexual partners period. I think it depends on the person. What they like/dislike, their sexual views and beliefs, the level of responsibility, the vibe between people, etc. Who is to judge what number of sexual partners is "acceptable" for anyone?? I dont' believe in that.

well i think it really depends, i'm a big fan of sex and the city, and women want to have fun, if you're anything like me you don't care about relationships but thats just me. not saying i have sex with a lot of people or anything of the sort. but i know that early twenties is when you get around the most. don't even tell the person how many people you've been with. if you've been checked and you're clear than it doesn't even matter. ;)

well I dont think it matters what the number is. its your choice if you like sex and how many times you wanna do it. a woman should not be called"sl*t" or "hoe" due to her sexual past. it doesnt matter what age you are either
