No different than anywhere else in Iraq-some places are a little more dangerous than others. I have been there for almost 3 yrs.

It has been a couple of years - but we called the place 'Impact Area Anaconda' when I was there.

The really funny thing is that the people at Anaconda felt sorry for the people at other FOBs because of their relative lack of amenities - and the people at other FOBs felt sorry for the folks at Anaconda because of the frequent IDF attacks.

It is in a war zone. I know of an airman who was killed when a mortar landed in the middle of the tent he was living in. Two others were injured in the same attack, one took shrapnel in the back and another lost a leg.
