He is always making refrences to having sex with me, but he doesn't want to ruin our friendship. He tells me that he likes me and I'm awesome.Also, we hang out alot and when we aren't he tells me he misses me. He thinks that they may break up and keeps telling me to be patient. I don't know what to do, besides just wait and see what happens. I can't get him off my mind. We work together, too; so I have to see him everyday.

That will ruin the friendship. If he has a girlfriend, then it is not fair to her to be in the middle of this. She has trust in you as well as for him. It would be different if he was not dating anyone then you and him can have sex. Don't go around hurting people for the mere pleasure of sex. Wait until he breaks up with her then allow him to do whatever you want him to do. Try to put the shoe on the other foot. How would you feel if your boyfriend and his best friend had sex right under your nose. Then you found out about it. You would feel betrayed in the worst way. Think about it before you cross that thin line.

Well patience is a virtue you don't want to look like the other woman so wait for him to break up with the other girl before you jump on it because the one thing you don't want to feel like is 2ND best. Always expect to be number 1 because then you will be treated as such. Also friendship makes the heart grow closer so just remain friends until he makes the necessary steps for y'all to be together.

i`m going through the same problem and i think the best thing you can do is remain best friends. If you hook up with him, and it doesnt go well, then getting your friendship back is gonna be tough. he doesn`t sound like a guy who you can trust as a boyfriend either, so set some boundaries between you two & move on.
