most antibiotics should be taken 1 hr before meals or 2 hrs after meals , if your having stomach problems etc with this med u need to contact your doc and let them know the side affects u are having , u can also contact your pharmacy and let them know whats going on or even ask them if this med should be takin with or without food , does the med itsself give you the problem or is it the reason y your doc gave you the med because of the infection giving u heart burn etc , refrain from any asprin , or spicy food this will add to your discomfortt , but by all means if this is going on because of the med contact your pharmacy and your doc asap adn see what they can advice , u may need to get some oter type of med

If any dietary restrictions were required, your dr and/or pharmacist would have alerted you. I have taken amoxicillin and the only thing I avoided was alcohol. By the way, are you a writer? I, too, enjoyed your usage of language.

It shouldn't be for a virus. Perhaps H. pylori? It really doesn't matter with amoxicillin. If you're also taking clarithromycin and a protein-pump inhibitor, I'd suggest taking them all together with some food, as the clarithromycin occasionally causes a bellyache.

It depends on the condition of your stomach. If you have a stomach or a duodenal ulcert and you take antibiotics on an empty stomach you might do yourself harm and you should have some protective food in your stomach first.

YES.
I would, for sure.
In fact, if I don't eat something when I take Amoxicillin, I get an AWFUL stomach-ache.

if you have an upset stomach while taking it without food, you should have a small meal, or eat crackers or soemthing bland. taking it without food may cause nausea. if you dont want to risk it, just take it with food anyway. if you dont feel like eating, take with a glass of milk.
