my friend is very poor, and she lives with her crackhead family in a rundown duplex while they smoke 3 packs of cigarettes a day, which she is forced to breath in through second hand smoke. she used to have medium blonde hair, but recently it started growing out dark brown, and you can still see the line in her hair where it changed color. As i learned it, cancer is caused by mutation of cells, and i was wondering maybe the cells for her hair color were mutated, and that it's a sign of cancer?

peoples hair color can change throughout your life tim. I had bright blond hair as a child and the older i get the darker it gets. it doesnt mean your friend has cancer. and you wouldnt get cancer in your hair.

I'm guessing that what you are seeing are roots- the difference between a false haircolor and her natural haircolor. Haircolor change is not a sign of cancer in itself.

I don't know if it's a sign, but my mom had radiation to her brain, and chemo and the hair that she lost grew back in darker and more course.

it may well be Blue! My favourite colour is black and my air is jet black, the different favourite colour is white, my hair will be white like my mom's become sometime. So I p.c.. Blue with some gold on the ends. like it become dipped into organic gold.

Yeah it's a sign of cancer, but you'll know for sure when the treatments come in and she loses her hair instead...
