Specifically for a man in his mid to late twenties.

This is obviously subjective, best answer will be given to the person I feel best supports their idea (whether or not I agree)

Feel free to elaborate any way you see fit!!

Thanks for the opinions!

I'd say maybe 10 would be acceptable. Seeing perhaps a male has lost his virginity at age 18 to his first "love". They dated for a few years, then he went to college where he had fun and dated girls more frequently. So from age 18-28, that is 10 years, in that time he had a girlfriend who he had exclusive sex with for a few years, then periods where he had no sex, to flings he may or may not have had. SO, ten would be ok. Maybe a little higher. I would just want to make sure that he was clean and free of STD's.

How about 2?

I'm not sure there's a specific number. I think it depends on the person and their present partner. I think ideally each partner would have a similar number of past experiences so neither feels guilty about how many or how few they've had. When I met my husband I thought he'd been with many more people than I had, and I had a little issue with it, but was willing to overlook it. Turns out we had the same number and that made it easier to accept. I think it also depends on the circumstances under which the past sexual experiences occurred. Were they all one night stands with random women? Or were they mostly relationships that went wrong? It all depends on what is important to the present partner.

My bf started going out with me when he was 27, and he had slept with 21 other girls. I found this to be a lot! I was only 18 and he was my first. I think a reasonable number is 5-8 people, depending on how many girls you have gone out with. I think the average is much higher, but I think this shows low "class"; there is such a thing as a man-whore (lol) and I would say over 25 girls is the limit for a guy in his mid-late twenties. Maybe this is too idealistic?!

The past is the past. It could be 0 to 100 and as long as he was safe and disease-free, it really doesn't matter. Most men claim that they "don't remember" either because they can't count or just don't care. The ones who give a number usually add a few on, just as some women take a few off. :) But, I think that the number of PAST partners is not relevant unless, as I said, he has a disease from it.

depending on how attractive the man is the more sexual partners he will have had by his mid/late twenties i would say 10 15 that sounds good for a moral person.

40 is acceptable. Figure about 1 girlfriend, 2 hookers and 2 one night stands per year since he was 18. 8yrsx5 = 40

And I'm not just saying this to justify my own past indiscretions. Honest!

I don't think there is one number that would be the best answer for every man. To me it seems that if the guy has a healthy view of sex and has no regrets, it doesn't matter.

ok take your age divide by 2 add the year you were born in then subtract by your shoe size # and that is the anneptable # of past sexual partners
