Any help would be greatly appreciated ~ for an AP statistics project

Unfortunately for your report you will have to have a very narrow search. You see, the polar bear population has grown from an estimated 3000 in the late 70's to around 10,000 in 2004. Not sure how you can get that the population has declined out of it unless you lie. Try the green peace website, they might have something you can use. make sure its data from the 60s. Back then it was incomplete and they mostly guessed based on what they saw in populated areas.

Since the polar bear population is actually increasing, I'd suggest you revise the topic of your report.
