Not only was Jesus Jewish, but so was every author of the New Testament, and most of those mentioned in the New Testament. It's a heritage that many Christians would rather ignore.
Much like the heritage of the Roman Catholic Church, it seems, too.

I don't know why exactly some Christians hate Jews. I have some ideas, but I'll keep 'em to myself.
All Christians should realize that salvation came to the Gentiles as a result of the Jewish disobedience towards God. God allowed the Gentiles to be grafted in and He gave them the right to be called children of God, through the Christ. In this way, He provoked them to jealousy. We are together, Jews and Christians. God has adopted Christians as His children. In doing so, He will save Israel as well as Christians. We need to help each other if we love God.
Romans 11:11 -
I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles.
Actually, I would suggest reading Romans 9-11.

Christians do not hate Jews. If they do, it is because they blame them for Jesus death. However true Christians understand that Jews are God's chosen people, and that they are valuable in God eyes. Therefore they have respect for Jews, and yes Jesus was indeed a Jew as well as the disciples.

You know,I have never met a Christian who hates Jews,so I would have to dispute your claim that 'so many' do.
As for those that are anti-semitic,it's the height of idiocy.If you hate the Jews,then you logically must hate Jesus as well.

Not every writer of the New Testament was Jewish. Luke was Greek -- and wrote for a Greek audience.
I have a deep love of the Jewish faith...I learn more about it every opportunity I can. Its a great faith!

Christians dont dislike Jews ... i look up to them as Gods physical chosen people and would never curse them ... they just need a little revelation about who the messiah was is all ...
