It is normal for dogs to loose the pigment (color) in the nose as the get older, especially if they are kept inside. It is nothing to worry about and there is nothing that you can do about it (well, you can have the nose tattooed, but I think that it is painful and pointless).

The vet says that the cells sometimes lose its pigment, called melanin, but for unknown reasons. It's called hypopigmentation. This can be a normal with age & is mostly seen in older dogs. In some dogs a seasonal, partial lightening of the nose is called snow nose. It can be seen seasonally where the nose gets lighter in the winter and darker in the spring. In some rare cases dogs may have an autoimmune disease (Vitiligo) where the body attacks its own pigment in the cells. There is no treatment for either case and neither is it harmful.

Nothing is wrong with him, my pure bred American Eskimo's nose was black and turned brown as he got a little bit older.
Nothing to worry about, as long as your dog is acting normal and healthy he should be perfectly fine ^_^

Maybe as he ages his nose is turning color. Is his nose wet and he appears healthy and happy? Then he's most likely fine and his nose is simply turning brown as he ages.
