I am not a Christian myself ,but I figured that Christains had some kind of standards like trust,a work ethic and respect for others property.Well my last Christain Family just moved out and trashed the house.I am going to rent to some filipinos. They seem to be more trustworthy.
Do you blame me if I dont rent to Christain families again?

No. My ex had an office manager who was "his friend in Christ" and embezzled $30,000 from him . Merry Freakin Xmas.

I can understand your distress at having your rental property "trashed" but I would like to point out that like all Muslims don't run planes into buildings, neither do all Christians trash every home in which they live. There are bad representatives of every faith, Christians included, being that human nature carries the capacity for evil regardless of what faith you profess. It isn't fair to condemn all representatives of a particular faith any more than it's fair to condemn all breeds of a certain animal for one animal's deed or all children because some are ill-behaved. You might should do a bit More thorough background check before renting to any tenant, regardless of faith or ethnicity. Good luck with future rentals!

And what if the Filipinos (who are probably Catholic) end up trashing the house too? Are you then going to refuse to rent to all Catholics? And then what if a Muslim moves in after that . . . . are you going to stop renting to Muslims? You shouldn't judge the whole religion just because of the people. Everyone is different and all Christians shouldn't be judged based on this one family.

You do know that's considered discrimination, right? It can land you in a world of legal trouble if someone finds out that you refuse to rent to someone with a particular religious creed.

No matter who you rent to, insist on three verifiable references including their previous landlord and check them out thoroughly. Ask plenty of questions about the people -- do they pay the rent on time, what condition did they leave the property in, etc.

Insist on a fair but substantial deposit, as well as first and last month's rent. Inspect the property often, and get an exterminator in on a regular basis. And most of all, talk to your lawyer about writing a good, solid lease that works well in your favor.

And I hate to break the news to you, but many Filipinos are Catholic, which means that they would definitely be considered Christians.

I don't blame you, but I disagree. People trashing a house has nothing to do with religion. You should probably spend some time interviewing these people before you rent to them, instead of basing their eligibility on their ethnicity or religious beliefs.

are you kidding? How old are you? Are you serious you will never rent to Christian's again? Come on be serious EVERY person is different, and you should not judge thy neighbor. Nor should you judge one group of people based on one person's actions.... Who are you to even think like this? Don't you believe in God... Love everyone!

I think you can be cited and fined for discrimination if you base your reasons for not renting to them on that.

Take it case by case, and get references and follow up on them.

If one Christian family does it, they all must do it. Makes sense to me.

Well, hell no! After all, if ONE family did it, you know that THEY must all do it! Right?
